The UH4SP Unified Hub for Smart Plants project aimed to develop a software architecture, service oriented and technology solutions, incorporating the IoT and Industry 4.0 paradigm.
This solution promotes the corporate and aggregate view of industrial unit operations across geographies through remote and local access; construction of collaborative and transversal tools; optimization of operations and experience of use in industrial units and, finally, system reliability.
Benefits:
- Promotion of operational efficiency;
- Optimization of resource management;
- Strengthening relationships with customers, suppliers and carriers;
- Broadens and strengthens the scope of action of the various entities involved in the value chain;
- Improved customer service.
The contribution of the GCC came from the applied research domains EPMQ and cVIG.
EPMQ contributed to:
- Requirements gathering and reference cloud computing, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Industry 4.0;
- Development of services and business applications by invoking resources transparently;
- Definition of methodologies for specification, design and development of services / applications in the context of Industry 4.0;
- Design of an architecture and service specification (SOA);
- Definition of a business model using business / IT alignment methodologies.
For its part, CVIG contributed to:
- Automatic identification of driver and vehicle using computer vision;
- Driver interface via mobile device, focused on assisting in-plant navigation using augmented reality;
- Remote assistance through the exploration of new telepresence concepts in augmented reality.
